DrupalCon Workshop Promo: Theming for Non-Themers
There are still a few spots left in my DrupalCon workshop Theming for Non-Themers.
I've put together a little video of one of the activities you'll be doing at the workshop so that you can get a better sense of what you'll learn during the day (and how easy / difficult) the content will be.
In this video I take a look at the DrupalCon London Web site through the eyes of a themer. It's just a quick scan to identify the regions where content can be placed.
Additional activities from the workshop include:
- Working with grid frameworks to easily snap your design into place.
- Site analysis with wireframes.
- Content audits.
- ...and why these activities aren't just busy-work that Drupal developers invented so they can charge you more money.
As part of this workshop you will also receive step-by-step site building and theming workbooks which you can complete at your leisure after DrupalCon. This workshop is carefully crafted to give you the tools you need to feel more confident about theming Drupal--but it also acknowledges you'll be totally bombarded at DrupalCon with loads of new information. As a special bonus you'll get an extra month AFTER DrupalCon to ask any of your workshop-related questions in a special student forum. We'll even take a few minutes at the end of the day to review the schedule for DrupalCon to ensure you know about the must-see sessions during the conference.
Do you have other questions about the workshop on August 22nd? Let me know what they are!
