Drupal 7 Site Building and Theme Training

May 31 is a deadline you don't want to miss. Next Tuesday the price goes up, and the package gets smaller for two of my training offerings.

Training Offering #1: Theming for Non-Themers is a live training session to be conducted in London at DrupalCon in August. We know that the majority of you out there building Drupal sites are not developers or master themers -- you are end users, business owners, volunteers, marketers, managers and worker bees. You just want to be able to take control and adjust the look of your Drupal site to meet your needs, not become PHP or CSS gurus.

If you need to tame your Drupal site into one that matches the professional tone of your business, you will love this workshop. Learn the secret tips and tricks that allow advanced themers to crank out amazing-looking sites faster than ought to be humanly possible. This is a no-code workshop.

Registrants will receive battle-tested workbooks with the step-by-step instructions needed to manipulate the layout of a theme, allowing you to replicate your work after the workshop too.

Price: £250 (+VAT). Register now for live training at DrupalCon London.

Training Offering #2: Site Building Extravaganza is an ongoing program where you learn how to build and theme a new Web site every month. On May 31 the third installment of this program will be released. You will learn how to build a business directory similar to this one (map not included) or that one. Except with a fresh and awesome new design and made out of Drupal 7. You may choose to register for a monthly plan (cancel when you've had enough), or a bulk package of 10 sites. On June 1 the package drops to nine sites. Save moocho bucks by signing up now.

Yes, this is the same program that was first launched earlier this year and that I said wouldn't be available to new registrants after January 25. Things got a little bit complicated when the House fell on March 25 because of a non-confidence motion after the government was held in contempt of Parliament and a surprise election was called in Canada, the program was put on hold so that I could run in the election. (Like I said, things got a bit complicated.) I was not elected as a Member of Parliament to the Canadian House of Commons, but did come in 10th out of all Greens running in Canada. Go me. Our leader, Elizabeth May, was elected. (First elected Green in Canada.) Go Elizabeth! Running in the election, while a very important thing for me to do, put the program off by two months. So, due to political reasons, I've modified the program to keep the original registrants suitably rewarded for their early commitment and reopened the registration to newcomers.

The first two packages from SBE are now available for sale as individual workbooks. If you want step-by-step instructions on how I create themes using the NineSixty base theme, these workbooks are a must-have. The first workbook is directly related to my DrupalCon Chicago talk. The second workbook was my campaign site during the election and includes step-by-step instructions on making regions appear (and disappear) in your theme. If PHP scares you and you want to really master the NineSixty base theme, this second workbook is a must-have.

And there we have it! Two training offerings. Two deadlines and two chances to save ... but you need to do it before May 31. June 1 is too late!

Comments

Just to clear up some confusion, the training workshop at DrupalCon London remains the same price throughout. It's just the price of the conference ticket itself that increases on the 31st May, and it's not possible to register for training without first registering for the conference. However, it is possible to sign up for the conference now before the early bird deadline and sign up to the training event later without any additional cost.

Cheers,
Stella

Great blog.
